What are the most important steps when installing an aluminum window in an old building?

- Cleaning the Old Window Frame: To ensure the new window is installed properly, the old window frame must be in good condition and securely attached to the masonry. Therefore, first remove the old hardware, then brush and clean the area. We recommend treating the area with insecticides and fungicides;
- Preparing the Level Substrate: After cleaning the frame, you must prepare the level substrate. To do this, seal the drain holes with silicone caulk. Measure the grooves and cut the strips to size; after applying glue to the underside of the installation areas, nail the strips in place;
- Preparing the new aluminum window: Place the new window on a flat, sturdy surface with the inside facing you, and mark the mounting holes. Next, draw marks and intermediate marks next to the center. Using a suitable drill bit, drill the mounting holes, making sure that the distance between the holes is no more than 60 cm;
- Installing the aluminum window: First, attach the insulating gaskets to the bottom of the frame. Next, apply a silicone sealant to each side of the old frame. Then you can insert the new aluminum window into the frame;
- Inserting and Tightening the First Screws: Once the window is in place, you can begin tightening the first screws. Start at the top sides, without tightening too many of the other fasteners. Then, please screw on the handle;
