Believe it or not: trampolines that are built right into the lawn!

When spring is just around the corner, the whole family enjoys the garden. What could be better than letting the kids run around in your own backyard while the first buds are sprouting? When it comes to outdoor activities, you’re spoiled for choice these days. How about a game of Frisbee or soccer? However, more and more families are deciding to get a trampoline for their yard. But this presents a new set of decisions, as there’s a nearly overwhelming selection of models available on the market. The most elegant trampolines are undoubtedly those that can be recessed into the ground. But aesthetics are just one reason to choose in-ground trampolines.

Safety First!

Of course, jumping around wildly on a trampoline comes with its share of risks. Parents have a duty to supervise their children adequately. To prevent potential accidents, you should establish a few rules in advance. For example, inexperienced children should not do somersaults or jump with toys. In addition, there is a strict ban on chewing gum on the trampoline, because the risk of choking is simply too great!

You can minimize the risk right from the start by choosing the right piece of sports equipment. Most trampolines now come with a safety net, which prevents the majority of falls. What many parents don’t realize, however, is that even a raised entry point can lead to injuries. Toddlers, in particular, have trouble climbing the ladder to get on. Trampolines that are recessed into the ground are therefore a good alternative. The lower the jump height, the less severe any injuries will be. Good to know: “Inground” trampolines can also be equipped with an additional safety net upon request.

An Unobstructed View of Your Home's Greenery

If we’re honest, traditional trampolines often look out of place in the garden. Especially when space is limited, you want an unobstructed view. In-ground trampolines are recessed into the ground and blend seamlessly with the lawn. As a stylish alternative to above-ground trampolines, they’re therefore very popular. If needed, these trampolines can also be easily covered. This leaves plenty of room for your next barbecue and protects the jumping mat from damage.

What should you look for when buying one?

Inground or “flat-to-the-ground” trampolines vary in price. What accounts for the sometimes very large price difference? For one thing, not every jumping mat offers the same bounce characteristics. If the trampoline is primarily intended as a play device for children, a less expensive model will suffice. If it’s also to be used as a piece of exercise equipment by adults, it’s worth spending a little extra. Another difference lies in the maximum weight capacity. For budget trampolines, this is around 100 kg. If several children are going to jump at the same time, it makes sense to choose a product with a higher weight capacity. Note: When multiple people are jumping, their combined weight adds up. For example, several teenagers can quickly reach the 100 kg limit.

If you value quality, you should consider a Berg trampoline. The brand has been firmly established on the market for many years and offers a wide variety of inground trampolines. It’s true that Berg models are a bit more expensive. However, if you want to enjoy your new piece of sports equipment for a very long time, it’s worth spending a little more money.
