Tips for Investing Money

Tips on investing money is a topic that concerns more than just women

These days, it’s really no surprise that people are worried about money—after all, Greece is up to its neck in debt, and several other countries are likely to follow. So one day, I, too, started thinking about money and where I could best invest it without throwing it down the drain and having to accept heavy losses. I actually thought I was pretty well-informed about investment options, but a dear friend of mine—a self-proclaimed expert when it comes to numbers and investing—gave me a crash course on the subject at my request, and I learned a thing or two, even if not on every point. Although one might think that in this day and age the good old savings account has long since had its day, a large number of people still prefer saving in the at least secure savings account rather than investing their money in something much more profitable. I was told, for example, that investments are profitable when the annual returns exceed the loss in purchasing power. While this sounds plausible and logical, as a die-hard skeptic, I naturally know that this type of investment always carries a risk of loss. Do I want to take that risk? And if not, what alternative options are available to me?

Smart, safe, and profitable

I think this is what the perfect investment for my money should look like, but there’s a catch: the safe ones aren’t profitable, and vice versa. Apparently, I’m going around in circles with my thoughts, and I secretly think it would make sense to invest in gold, just like 30 years ago—after all, it’s considered the “safest currency in the world.” After all, the most important criteria for investing are:

  • Security
  • Convertibility into cash at any time
  • Yield
  • Clarity
  • Performance
  • Taxes
  • Ongoing fees, costs
  • Minimum or Maximum Investment

In short: I’m still completely unfamiliar with this kind of investment—and my hope of someday coming across something this versatile is fading week by week as I follow the rather modest global economic situation in the media. Yet in theory, it can be so easy to invest some money these days; you don’t even have to leave the house. Various online brokers on the internet offer a wide range of services and access to the stock market. Of course, the risk is only mentioned in passing—after all, it goes without saying if you’re not completely clueless. And suddenly, an idea strikes me: It would be great to have a combination of everything currently available on the investment market—but I can’t figure it out on my own…

Put Your Money in the Hands of Experts

Professional asset management firms offer a service of the highest quality. I can actively manage the entire investment universe—from the security of a savings account to high-yield stock investments—in a way that is tailored to my personal wishes and needs, ensuring that my wealth accumulation is fully aligned with them. To eliminate quality risks, I will take this approach and entrust my money to experts, which still seems to make the most sense for me personally. I haven’t been able to decide on a specific provider yet—I’ll probably need to have a few more discussions before making a decision.
