The new Volvo V40 made its debut this year at the 82nd Geneva International Motor Show. The compact five-door model is available at an extremely attractive starting price of just €23,600. The Swedish premium automaker offers the Volvo V40 in both gasoline and, of course, diesel versions. Power ranging from 115 to 180 horsepower ensures quick and safe acceleration. For particularly sporty drivers, the T5 gasoline version—with a whopping 254 PS—will be of particular interest.
First Volvo Model Based on the “Designed Around You” Strategy
The innovative Volvo V40 is already giving competitors in the premium segment a headache. That’s because it’s the first car designed according to the “Designed around you” strategy. In addition to state-of-the-art technology, the Volvo V40 impresses with its spectacular design and unique safety features. Other new features include the innovative pedestrian airbag and the raised hood. These features are intended to minimize serious injuries in the event of collisions between pedestrians and cars. The “knee airbag” is a new feature for the driver, designed to make driving even safer, whether you’re on the road or simply getting from point A to point B. The Volvo Powershift dual-clutch transmission also helps save fuel by shifting gears exceptionally smoothly.
With an average fuel consumption of 3.6 liters per 100 kilometers, you’ll save money even in everyday driving, but driving pleasure is guaranteed to know no bounds with the new Volvo V40.
