Lady Carver are skis designed specifically for women

The warmer months are the best time to buy new skis at a good price. There is now a wide range of women’s skis available that are specifically designed to meet women’s needs. But how do they actually differ from conventional skis?

At first glance, one thing in particular catches the eye: the design. Women’s skis are usually designed to appeal to a female audience. As a result, they often come in very colorful designs with feminine patterns, such as flowers. But anyone who thinks the difference lies solely in the design is mistaken. In fact, women’s carver skis differ from men’s skis in several ways, as they offer everything a woman could want—not only in terms of appearance, but also in terms of materials and craftsmanship.

Since women have a different physical build than men, they also have different needs when it comes to their skis. For example, women are generally shorter and weigh less. In addition, women have less upper-body strength and a different center of gravity. With women’s skis, ski manufacturers aim to address these characteristics and make skiing easier for women. But what exactly are the differences?

1) The waist of women’s skis is wider. This means much less effort is required to turn the skis.
2) The skis have a more pronounced sidecut. This also makes the skis more maneuverable.
3) Women’s skis are shorter and thinner, resulting in a lower overall weight.
4) The binding is slightly raised in the heel area. The resulting greater forward lean allows for more controlled skiing.

So if you're skiing with Lady Skis, you'll need less strength above all else! That's why they're especially recommended for beginners. The skis' lightness and excellent turning performance make getting started in alpine skiing particularly easy. In addition to all-around skis, there are of course plenty of models for experienced skiers as well: from freeride skis to race carver models, there's something for everyone!
